I am excited to involved this year in Awana with Kenny. It gives motivation to kid for memorizing verses, and learning about Christ.
When I was in the children’s home we had talent shows. I would always do drama and memorize verses. When I was in 6th grade my friend and I memorized Psalms 119. We would have contest every year to see who had memorized the most verses. This was a good encouragement to the kids and because of it their knowledge of Christ grew.
We went to Branson with Grandpa and Grandma Austin earlier this summer. We saw a show on the Branson Belle.
Today Becky, her friends, and I went to zoo. I always like to see the animals. Specially a cobra snake. When I was in the children’s home I always liked to go places like water parks or the zoo, but we didn’t go often. Today I had a lot of fun with Becky, her kids, and her friend.
Our wedding was on March 31st, 2007. I really wanted to have my wedding sometime between October and January but it was God’s will so I got married in March.
I was so excited that I didn’t sleep well. Some of the Americans thought I was not happy on my wedding day because I was not smiling or looking at people but just setting quietly while the pastor was preaching. In India that’s normal. If I was to look around, make faces, or talk during the preaching it would be looked down upon. After attending an American wedding I understandd why people thought I was not happy during mine. Indian weddings are so different and take a long time. I like how quick American weddings are.

Pictures from our engagement ceremony… and yes, Kenny got an engagement ring.

With Kenny & Trina’s encouragement, I’m becoming a blogger. I am going to post pictures, jokes, recipes, spiritual thoughts, and my life stories in no particular order. As most of you know, I grew up in India in an orphange. My family here in the US is continually asking me stories from my childhood and they want me to share them. So here we go…
Me, Mom, and my sisters.
